I HAVE A DREAM CONFERENCE 2022
I have a dream, the famous quote from a speech by Martin Luther King Jr. (1963), still refers to the hope for a better future.
Artificial Intelligence is contributing to better future. In fact, the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence such as facial recognition, self-driving cars, natural language processing, computer vision etc has a high impact on business and society nowadays. However, several AI models suffer from the lack of diversity and inclusion (gender, race etc). Industry and academia are taking steps to increase diversity among AI researchers and AI models in order to improve the fairness of AI models. IHAD 2022 is a conference discussing the previous issues.
IHAD 2022 is a unique avenue for researchers, students, policymakers and development practitioners to debate and build knowledge on diversity in Artificial Intelligence. The main objective of IHAD 2022 is to discuss and build knowledge about diversity in AI as an important driver of policy dialogue that promotes the exchange of ideas and innovative thinking among researchers, development practitioners and policymakers. It will provide an opportunity for researchers, Africans diaspora, civil society and all people interested of AI and diversity to disseminate their research findings. This edition the focus is on Africa.
